A ‘fire-side chat’ with The Revd David Perryman
David is the rector of the Parish of Avon and Bishop’s Chaplain in the Anglican Diocese of Gippsland. Following his preaching in the pre-recorded Eucharist for the Sixth Sunday after Pentecost, we recorded an interview with David in the Registry Office at Chapter House, as part of the ‘Getting to know you’ series. David discusses his role as Bishop’s Chaplain and parish priest. He reflects on his early memories of setting up a eucharist as a 5 year old and ‘playing priest. David talks about his hopes and fears for the church in the future and how taking part in ‘normal’ activities, such as playing cricket for his local team presents great opportunities for living out the gospel in authentic ways.
