Getting to know...Anglican Prison Chaplain, Heather Toms, on ‘Justice Sunday’
May 2nd, 2020
This Fourth Sunday in Easter, 3 May, is also Justice Sunday, when we focus on the ministry of our prison chaplains and the work of Anglican Criminal Justice Ministry through Anglicare Victoria.
In this conversation with Bishop Richard, Anglican Chaplain to Fulham Correctional Centre, The Revd Heather Toms, reflects on her passion for this ministry over the last 11 years, and what drives her still.
Heather discusses the gospel of reconciliation which is at the heart of her work, and gives us an insight into the profound influence of faith and spirituality in the lives of many prisoners.
Heather has also written a feature article in the May edition of The Gippsland Anglican, which you will find on the Diocesan website this week. The interview with Heather can be viewed HERE.
