Graham Knott

Archdeacon of the Southern Region

Graham was born in the UK but spent most of his childhood in Tasmania and South Australia. In 1971 he returned to England for what he thought would be a year but it was 23 years before he first came back to Australia. Graham grew up in a Christian home and made his own Christian commitment aged 16. He comes from a long line of many generations of clergy and was ordained in Derby, England in 1980. He spent the next 25 years working in deprived areas of the British midlands and seeing God transform a number of broken communities and bring hope and new direction to people. Within Gippsland he has been privileged to serve in Croajingolong, Maffra and Leongatha. June and Graham were married in 1974 and have found real joy in serving in ministry together since then. They have two adult sons. Graham serves as Rector of Leongatha as well as Archdeacon of the Southern Region.
